Post Samsung A670 - Faceplate Installation

Getting Started:

This tutorial explains the installation of a transparent smoke faceplate on the Samsung A670.

You will need:

Small phillips screwdriver (star)

Small flathead screwdriver

Step 1

Just to make sure.. This is what your phone should look like

Step 2

You will need a small Phillips (star) screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver (or something small to remove bottom stickers with)

Step 3

Use the flathead screw driver for carefully removing the 2 stickers to expose the screws

Step 4

Use the star screwdriver to remove the 2 bottom screws

Step 5

There are 2 snapping points on either side that you will need to pry and pop out.

Firmly separate the original faceplate

Step 6

Don't worry. It's supposed to look like this.

Step 7

Remove the silver plate from the original faceplate with the flathead screwdriver. (It's simply stuck on with double sided tape)

Step 8

If you purchased a faceplate from The Phone Mall it would have come with 2 double sided sticker. Get them.. First remove the old tape on the silver plate

Step 9

The plate looks much better with the old tape peeled off.

Step 10

Place the new tape on the silver plate - Remove the white paper to reveal make the top side sticky.

Step 11

Stick the silver plate into the new faceplate. Then snap the new faceplate back onto the phone. (Don't forget the 2 screws and the 2 cover stickers)

Step 12

Here's what it looks like with a flashing battery
